What is Going on in Yemen?

As the Boğaziçi University Islamic Studies Club (BİSAK), we organized an event titled "What is Going on in Yemen?" on December 22, 2015, discussing the causes of the civil war in Yemen and regional political developments.
The speaker for the event was Abubakr Al-Shamahi, a journalist from TRT World. The discussion covered whether the war in Yemen is solely a domestic issue or if regional actors are fueling the conflict. The current situation in Yemen, where more than 6,000 lives have been lost, was examined in both historical and contemporary contexts.
Participants had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Yemen’s political structure and regional dynamics.
