In the second event of the “Ulûm’ul İslam” Seminar Series organized by the Boğaziçi Islamic Studies Community, Prof. Dr. Recep Şentürk joined us. This seminar examined the development of social sciences in Islamic and Western civilizations, comparing fiqh and modern social sciences. Different understandings of knowledge and methodology were evaluated in the context of how they shape societies. Participants had the opportunity to think from an interdisciplinary perspective.
