The Ottoman System and Economy in the Face of Modern Economic Growth

Boğaziçi University Islamic Studies Club organized a conference titled "The Ottoman System and Economy in the Face of Modern Economic Growth" on May 6, 2016, with the participation of Mehmet Genç. The event featured an in-depth discussion on the economic structure of the Ottoman Empire, economic growth, and how the Ottoman economic system interacted with modern economics. Mehmet Genç provided a detailed analysis of the Ottoman economic administration, its responses to contemporary economic models, and its sustainable growth strategies.
