Migration in the Modern World and Syrian Refugees

In this event organized by the Boğaziçi Islamic Studies Community, we explored the phenomenon of migration in the modern world and the challenges faced by Syrian refugees. We discussed the historical, political, and humanitarian aspects of the refugee crisis and evaluated its international implications.
Lawyer Halim Yılmaz addressed the legal status and rights of refugees, while Prof. Dr. Ferhat Kentel examined the refugee issue from a social and cultural perspective. With contributions from our participants, we had an in-depth discussion on the difficulties faced by Syrian refugees and possible solutions.
