Science and Evolution from an Islamic Perspective
As Boğaziçi University Islamic Studies Society, we held our panel titled "Science and Evolution from an Islamic Perspective". With the support of our expert professors in the field, this event addressed the place of science and evolution theory in Islamic thought, technological approaches and their relations with contemporary science.

In the panel, topics such as the theory of evolution and the epistemological foundations of modern science, Islam's understanding of knowledge and scientific studies, perspectives on the theory of evolution in terms of biology, philosophy and theology were discussed in detail. Speakers presented recordings on how the presentation of creation is handled in Islamic sources and how it can be monitored with contemporary science.

The Future of Syria After the Assad Regime
As Boğaziçi University Islamic Studies Society, we organized a conference titled "The Future of Syria After the Assad Regime". We hosted Ahmet Arda Şensoy, a researcher who is continuing his doctoral studies at The University of Nottingham, at our event.
Ahmet Arda Şensoy is a researcher specializing in the Syrian Civil War, proxy wars, and Middle East politics. After completing his undergraduate studies at Istanbul Commerce University in 2015, he received his master's degree from Sakarya University Middle East Institute with his thesis titled "Russia's Hybrid War Strategy and the Syrian Example". He is currently continuing his studies on the dynamics of proxy state relations in the Syrian Civil War.
The conference discussed possible scenarios for the future of Syria after the end of the Assad regime after 13 years of civil war. Şensoy analyzed the political, social, and economic challenges that Syria may face in the post-Assad era and shared his predictions about the reconstruction process of the region. He also discussed the roles of international actors in Syria's future and how the balance of power in the region could be shaped.
Our event provided an important opportunity for participants who wanted to gain in-depth information about Syria's future. At the end of the program, participants had the opportunity to ask Ahmet Arda Şensoy their questions and ask them what they were curious about on the subject.

East Turkestan: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
As Boğaziçi University Islamic Studies Club, we held our conference titled "East Turkestan: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" where we discussed the history, current situation and future of East Turkestan. We hosted Istanbul University faculty member Prof. Dr. Ömer Kul at our event.
Prof. Dr. Ömer Kul provided in-depth information on the historical process, cultural identity and political developments of East Turkestan. The historical background of East Turkestan, the human rights violations experienced today and the place of the region in international relations were discussed in detail at the conference.
Prof. Dr. Ömer Kul shared important data and analyses with the participants about the difficulties experienced by the Uyghur Turks and the ongoing oppression in the region. He also provided a comprehensive perspective to the participants by making predictions about the future of East Turkestan and the role of the international community.
Our event was an enlightening and informative session for participants interested in the subject of East Turkestan. At the end of the program, participants received Prof. Dr. They had the opportunity to ask Ömer Kul their questions.
