On the Relationship Between Science and Religion
As the Boğaziçi University Islamic Studies Club (BİSAK), we organized a conference titled "On the Relationship Between Science and Religion" with the participation of our instructor İshak Arslan. This event was held on Friday, December 11, at NH302, examining the relationship between science and religion from a historical and philosophical perspective.
İshak Arslan, after graduating from Istanbul University's Faculty of Communication, completed his master's and doctoral studies in philosophy and religious studies at Marmara University. In his academic career, he has focused on topics such as the philosophy of nature, philosophy of science, and the relationship between science and religion. Based on his research, he approached the question of whether science and religion are in conflict or harmony from various angles during the conference.
Participants had the opportunity to question the relationship between modern science and religion and to reflect deeply on this topic. We thank everyone who attended this event, which addressed significant philosophical and theological issues. As the Boğaziçi Islamic Studies Club, we will continue contributing to intellectual development with such academic events!
